Fire Breaks Out at Country Icon's Nashville Bar

A fire reportedly broke out at Kid Rock's Nashville bar on Tuesday, March 17, adding to his tough start to 2026

Kid Rock always seems to be close to the action. The rapper-turned-country-music singer consistently finds himself in the middle of a controversy.

Unfortunately for Kid Rock, the latest issue that he's involved in is related to his Nashville bar.

On Tuesday, March 17, the Nashville Fire Department reportedly responded to a call at Kid Rock's "Big Ass Honky Tonk & Rock 'n' Roll Steakhouse" bar.

"Firefighters were called to the bar just after 11:15 a.m. Crews extended a ladder to the roof during the response, and some damage was visible inside the building," WKRN reported. "Broadway was temporarily blocked near the restaurant, but it has since reopened. Officials told News 2 the fire was in the ceiling of the VIP room on the mezzanine next to the front window."

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. Nevertheless, the incident is undoubtedly a frustrating one for Kid Rock, who has endured a difficult few months.

Kid Rock's Bar Fire Came Just Hours After He Clapped Back at Conan O'Brien

Kid Rock's bar fire came shortly after he found himself being the focus point of Conan O'Brien's jokes at the 2026 Oscars.

"Tonight could get political, and if that makes you uncomfortable, there's an alternate Oscars being hosted by Kid Rock. It's at the Dave & Buster's down the street. Lotta tickets for that." O'Brien said.

Kid Rock then took to social media to fire out a retort to O'Brien, proving that the comedian's words had gotten under his skin.

"I love a good joke, even when I am the butt of it... Unfortunately, this was not a very good one," Kid Rock wrote on X. "Either way, if you want to see a REAL good show this spring/summer that celebrates America and 250 years of Freedom... make sure you buy your tickets from (ugh) Ticketmaster."

If we're being honest with ourselves, Kid Rock's alternative halftime show for the Super Bowl was a flop. That's likely played a part in his tough start to 2026. However, it's fair to assume that a fire at his bar is the lowlight of his year so far. Whether things start to get better will remain to be seen.
