Lanco consists of Brandon Lancaster (lead vocals), Chandler Baldwin (bass), Tripp Howell (drums), Jared Hampton (keyboard/guitar), and Tim Aven (guitar). The band had been playing in Iowa last weekend. They were then headed to Nashville.

But the country music group encountered terrible weather. With bad winter weather conditions making travel difficult, they chose to pull over for the evening. Lanco booked a stay in a hotel rather than continue.

Meanwhile, the bus driver remained with the vehicle. Fast forward to the following morning, and the bus went up in flames. Since he was the only one on board, the bus driver managed to escape with just minor injuries.

Things would have been worse if the country music group had been on the bus. They're thankful for avoiding a scary situation.

"It's been a surreal 18 hours, honestly, and we are so thankful that everyone on board is safe and sound," Lancaster said in a statement. "It was a very scary situation, and I can't imagine what would have happened if we all decided to sleep on the bus. I know God was watching over us."

The entire bus went up in flames. The bus was at a total loss. Fortunately, no one lost their life in the fire.

"We got stuck in a really nasty blizzard.... We found ourselves in a situation where we were trying to debate whether to stay on the bus and just ride it out until maybe a tow truck could help get us out of the conditions or to just get out of there," he said. "..... When we were at the hotel, we found out, not long after that, our bus was engulfed in flames ....Had we elected to stay on the bus, there would've been 12 of us in the middle of that trying to escape. It would've been very traumatic if anything and potentially life-threatening..."
