Mom Allegedly Recorded TikTok Dance Videos in Hospital With Baby in Critical Condition

The parents have been charged with second-degree murder, and are currently being held on a $1 million bond.

A young couple has been charged with murder after their infant son died of "abusive head trauma." Now, it is being reported that the mother of the child was filming TikTok videos while her child was in critical condition.

As reported by People, the two allegedly inflicted severe head trauma on their seven-week-old son. The mother, Alyssa Jade Vanderbeck, and the father, Mark Anthony Labaco Clamor, 21, both of Pierce County, Washington, were both charged with second-degree murder. Clamor was also charged with homicide by abuse.

The seven-week-old child, identified as N.C. in court documents, died on March 9. This was five days after he was admitted to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital in Tacoma.

According to a probable cause document, the baby suffered severe injuries. These include "subdural hemorrhages, anoxic brain injury, retinal hemorrhages and possible healing rib fractures." These injuries were consistent with head trauma the couple allegedly inflicted.

In a shocking turn of events, Vanderbeck posted a video on TikTok that she had filmed by her son's hospital bed. The TikTok video consisted of her "slowly dancing in the bathroom of N.C.'s hospital room with what can be described as 'upbeat' music playing in the background."

Police officers noted that their reaction to the child's injuries was "unusual", especially considering "the condition their child was in".

The Father Told Investigators He Delayed Taking His Baby To Hospital

Clamor told the investigators that he knew he had likely hurt the child but delayed calling 911 and taking him to the hospital.

He described jerking his son after he became "fussy." He said that "he knew that he had jerked the child in a manner that he realized was rough." Vanderbeck also said that "she and Clamor tried to rouse N.C. by stimulating him physically, which included shaking him in a panic."

After the incident, Vanderbeck apparently filmed the baby, who was in considerable distress. The baby was seen in the footage "with labored breathing." And, at one point, he had "appeared to have stopped breathing," according to the document.

Both Vanderbeck and Clamor are being held in jail under $1 million bonds each. Vanderbeck was seen crying in court on March 12.

We hope that this poor baby rests in peace and justice is served.
