Golden Corral is a testament to the American dream. An amazing all-you-can-eat buffet, at a great price, and who doesn't love rustic vibes? But, sometimes the American dream might become an American nightmare, as one customer found out.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the customer alleged that he was left with "irreversible injuries". Gary Sellinger claimed that Golden Corral employees allegedly viciously attacked him with forks in Henderson, Nevada, 18 miles southwest of Vegas. He alleges that an employee of the buffet restaurant, Jamie Crafts, accused him and his two friends of not paying the bill.
Sellinger alleged that, once Crafts was shown the bill, he got more aggressive and demanded the three to leave. After Sellinger handed over his silverware, another employee, Michael Strang, "grabbed him by his neck and slammed him into the table". In the altercation, Sellinger hit his head, leaving him with a traumatic brain injury, according to the lawsuit.
A spokesperson from the Henderson Police Department said that police officers were called to Golden Corral at 6pm on the day of the altercation. However, after investigating what happened, no arrests were made.

Sellinger Is Seeking $15,000 Worth of Damages
Sellinger is seeking $15,000 worth of damages, as well as legal costs. His attorney says that the damages include, but are not limited to, general, special, and punitive damages.
Sellinger and his attorney, Keith Galliher, have decided to sue several corporate entities tied to Golden Corral. These include: BLH, LLC; BB Hospitality, LLC; Heinz Enterprises, LLC; and NV GC, LLC.
The legal complaint alleged that Golden Corral and the corporate defendants, as well as the restaurant's general manager, Amy Bearden, were all negligent. This is because they were all involved in the hiring of the employees who allegedly carried out the attack. Further, Galliher says that he has pictures of the injuries caused by the alleged attack. However, they have not been shared to any news outlets.
We hope that this matter is solved quickly. And, hopefully, that no more customers get left with "irreversible injuries" like Sallinger allegedly has been.
