According to TMZ, this happened after an incident involving Jenelle's mother, Barbara Evans, and Jace. Barbara reportedly called police on Feb. 22 after Jace allegedly pulled out a firearm and put it to his head. He then threatened to kill himself and Barbara.

At the time, Jace had been living with Barbara in North Carolina. In the lead-up to the incident, there had been concerns that Jace had been drinking and using drugs.
Seven officers were sent to Barbara's home after she called 911. Authorities described the incident as a "troubled teen disturbance." It is unclear how long Jace will remain in the mental health facility. Those close to the Evans family say right now, the emphasis is on his health and stability.
A representative for Jenelle said, "At this time, we have no comment on the matter. We're unable to discuss this issue because it involves confidential personal matters."
