The illicit romp took place during Roberts' son's allegedly boozy birthday bash in the summer of 2024. On March 3, Roberts, the former mayor of DeRidder, Louisiana, "was convicted on charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile...." Roberts was reportedly still holding public office at the time of her unlawful behavior. She resigned prior to her arrest.
Per the outlet, Roberts' skin sports a bunch of tattoos. That fact emerged from the description of Roberts that now adorns the sex offender register.
You could say that Misty Roberts has had a swift and spectacular fall from grace. That downward spiral will gain another chapter on April 17, when she is scheduled to be sentenced.
She Allegedly Told Her Son To Fight the Victim
Roberts supposedly goaded her son to fight his friend. Per the Post, Roberts and her son were arguing about her over-the-top "antics." He allegedly confronted his mom. Roberts, meanwhile, supposedly wanted to obscure her wrongful actions by prompting the boys to wrangle with each other, the victim contended in court.
She allegedly said to her son at the time, "Go fight your friend. He's the one who did it." The victim testified in court, "She was trying to get him to fight me. She was trying to get the blame off of herself."
The Victim Sounds Like He Was Dazed After the Surreal Sexual Encounter With Roberts
He said in court, per the outlet, "While it was happening, I couldn't feel my body. After we had sex, I kinda was realizing what was happening."
According to the 2024 census, DeRidder, Louisiana, has a population of 9,508. They are probably shocked to their shoes by their former mayor, Misty Roberts.
