Bob Rosenfarb has passed away at the age of 74. He was known for his work as a TV sitcom writer, bringing you shows such as Who's the Boss? and Step by Step. His death was announced by his family via Mount Sinai memorials.

"Bob lived an amazing life filled with joy, humor, and love," the statement read. "He cherished his family, valued lifelong friendships, and had a deep appreciation for the craft and collaborative spirit of comedy. Those who knew him will remember his wit, his warmth, and the unmistakable twinkle in his eye when he shared a story or told an outrageous joke."
With a career that spanned multiple decades, Bob worked on some of our favorite television shows. According to IMDB, he had 20 credits to his name as a writer, five as a producer, and one as an actor. His first foray into the world of television came in 1982, when he penned an episode of Archie Bunker's Place.
The following year, Bob wrote 13 episodes of The Get Along Gang before landing a long-standing gig writing Heathcliff And The Catillac Cats, for which he holds credit for 64 episodes.

Later in his career, Bob received the opportunity to work on some of the biggest shows in television history. In 1987, he wrote an episode of The Golden Girls. He was also behind the entire run of The Ellen Burstyn Show.
"His work brought laughter into countless homes and reflected his instinct for character, timing, and heart," his family's statement continued. "Bob was proud of the stories he helped tell and the friendships he formed throughout his decades in the industry."
Outside of the one episode he wrote for The Golden Girls, Bob is also listed as a producer on a further six. He was also a producer on four episodes of Head Of The Class between 1987 and 1989.
There are currently no details surrounding Bob's cause of death. His family has noted that his funeral will take place at Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills on Friday, March 6th, at 11 am. They have asked his fans to consider making a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
