The New York Post has now obtained some of the bodycam footage from Caleb's arrest. The footage begins with Flynn asking an office if his wife has passed away.
"Is she, is she gone, Sir?" he sobbed. "Oh, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus."
When the police arrived at the scene, they asked Flynn whether he had any weapons on the premises. He responded by informing them he had a shotgun, a .22 and a pellet gun. He also kept a handgun in the glovebox of his truck.
"Cops also combed the garage, where they realized the center console of a truck was open, and searched to see if they could find any blood, which they couldn't," the New York Post reported.
Flynn allegedly used a 9mm gun to shoot his wife.
While officers were on the scene, Flynn called his mother, informing her that his wife had passed away. The police have since released a video of him hugging his mother once she arrived on the scene.
Caleb Flynn Previously Declared His Love for His Wife
Flynn was a contestant on the 2013 series of American Idol. His pre-audition interview is still live on YouTube. During that interview, Flynn gushed over his wife, declaring his deep love.
"My name is Caleb Flynn. I'm from Tip City, Ohio. I auditioned because, I'm sure everybody says it, but music is all I know. It's what I live to do, and I love to sing, so that's why I auditioned. Maybe my wife kind of nudged me a little bit, too," his interview began. "...I love my wife more than anything. She is very, very pretty. I love her."
A preliminary hearing has been postponed until March 26. The hearing was originally set to take place on Feb. 26. Flynn remains in police custody at the Miami County Jail in Ohio. His bond has been set at $2 million.
