For a certain generation of music lovers, that can be hard to swallow. With the help of the band that bears his name, the "It's My Life" singer has provided the soundtrack to the lives of millions of fans.
And while listeners may feel old when they hear their favorite singer is eligible for an AARP membership, Bon Jovi doesn't seem to mind that he's getting older.
Jon Bon Jovi Is Going Out on Tour at 64
Maybe the reason why Bon Jovi isn't worried about his age is because there is a lot on his plate at the moment.
For starters, his second grandchild was born late last year. His first came in August, when his son, Jake Bongiovi, and his wife, actress Millie Bobby Brown, adopted a girl.
Bon Jovi shared with Bunnie Xo what it's been like to be a grandfather last year.
"It's crazy, but great," he said. Wonderful... We met the baby, obviously, and immediately, that becomes your grandchild... It's beautiful. I want to see pictures, like, every other day. I'm that pain in the butt guy already, and yeah, it's cool."
But Bon Jovi and his band are also getting ready to hit the road. The Forever Tour will launch in July.
Bon Jovi Hasn't Had Any Work Done
When he came on the How to Fail podcast last year, Bon Jovi shared that he's never had "work done."
"I haven't had any surgeries, operations, Botox injections, eye jobs, lip jobs, or whatever the hell else you do these days," he said. "I'm not interested in any of that, nor would I do it."
While he did try dying away the grey hairs at one time, Bon Jovi decided that going through all that wasn't for him.
"When [stylists] would put hair color in, I hated that," he said. "So, I just said, 'Screw it,' like, 12 to 13 years ago. I wouldn't do that, and so I had to come to terms with aging."
But after having surgery on his vocal cords in 2022, the New Jersey native said his health is his top priority.
"You can always make a buck," he shared. "You can always write another song. But your health is key to the universe."
