"That was something I developed in 2020 and didn't know what it was for a really long time. It was kind of misdiagnosed, also dismissed," Carly said. "'Oh, you have anxiety. Oh, you have a busy schedule. And it's like, 'No, something's not right.' And, so, in 2024, I went public with that just because it took me out for a second. But I'm doing really well."

Due to her experiences, Carly is urging people to listen to their bodies and ensure they're being heard when speaking with medical professionals regarding their concerns.

"My biggest piece of advice for anybody is: Listen to your body, and be your own advocate. ... A lot of doctors dismissed me, and I was persistent until I got a diagnosis," she told Fox News Digital.

Fortunately for Carly, she hasn't had a flare-up of the issue.

"I haven't had any kind of major flair," she told Nashville Now. "But I think, again, just trying to be honest with people and use my platform to be like, 'Please go get checked because there was something wrong.'"

Carly Pearce Has a Newsong With Riley Green

Carly doesn't appear to be letting her heart issue slow her down, and that's good news for country music fans. The iconic singer-songwriter has recently sent the internet into a frenzy as she's teased an upcoming duet with Riley Green.

The video clip, which was posted to social media on Feb. 26, shows Carly and Riley sitting side-by-side, with Carly holding a glass of wine and Riley pushing back a strand of her hair.

Carly tagged Riley in the post, leading to Riley resharing it to his followers. As you can expect, it's left country fans eagerly awaiting the release of the new song.

"The new teaser seems to preview more music from Pearce, who is working on her upcoming album," Billboard wrote.

2026 could be a big year for Carly, and that's only possible because she fought to get her health concerns taken seriously. Hopefully, we can all do the same if we ever have any worries.
