The "Save Me" singer opened up about the injury during a recent Instagram post.
"Just took this thing out for the first time since I flipped it, man, and broke my collarbone," Jelly Roll said while standing next to his ATV. "I was so scared to get back on it, y'all. I just knew that if I didn't get back on it sooner or later, I was gonna just be more and more afraid of it.
Jelly Roll then continued by explaining that his brother had worked on the ATV, fixing it up to be back like new. He also admitted that he had a broken collarbone during his appearance at the Grammys.
"...My brother got it fixed, dude, and he killed it. I mean, it's brand new. I figured I'd have totaled it, but whoever did this for us, thank y'all. I was just thinking— I was out there running around all the Grammys with a broken collarbone. Every time I hugged somebody that week, I wanted to scream. I just didn't say it. But every time somebody squeezed me, dude, I thought I was going to cry."
Jelly Roll Admitted the ATV Accident Was His Own Fault
If there was one word you could use to describe Jelly Roll, it would probably be humble. And, in typical fashion, he admitted that his ATV accident was of his own making.
"Sometimes the machine can do more than the user thinks it can," he said. "This was all user error. But anyway, the moral of the story. Get back on that pony, baby."
Still, it must have taken a high pain tolerance for Jelly Roll to hide such a painful injury while on the red carpet, or when he was interacting with his peers throughout the Grammys, or even during the buildup.
At least now, Jelly Roll will know his limits when driving an ATV. In truth, we should also praise his bravery to be back in the drivers seat (literally) so soon after the accident.
