Former VP Kamala Harris lost badly in the presidential election of 2024. Maybe no Democrat could have beaten Donald Trump's MAGA juggernaut. But her campaign was faulted in many ways by armchair experts and political pundits alike. Perhaps its biggest flaw was the tendency of the public to assume that a Kamala Harris presidency would just be Joe Biden 2.0.

McMahon tried to get a more definite response. She said to Harris, "You're still thinking about it?"

Harris said, "I might."

Harris's Book Gave Some the Impression She Was Still Game for Presidential Politics

Harris's book about the 2024 campaign, 107 Days, left McMahon wondering if she wants another crack at being prez. "I closed the book and I'm like, oh, she wants to. She's just thinking about it," McMahon said on the video call.

Harris parried with this response. "No, the book is about a specific period in time. There was no agenda beyond what we've discussed already, which is just sharing with people, you know, the reality of the experience, and hopefully allowing people to see something of themselves in it, in a way that - you know, that Girl Scout troop, when it comes time for them to read it, might see themselves in and know what they can do and that they could do it."
