The latest edition of the Winter Olympics may be over, but you can still catch plenty of skiing action.

With the northeastern United States under blizzard-like conditions, a news anchor took inspiration from the athletes in Milan-Cortina, Italy, and found a creative way to get to work.
This News Anchor Bundled Up and Skied Out the Door
Erika Tarantal, one of the on-air personalities for WCVB in Boston, Massachusetts, put on her warmest winter attire and grabbed her cross-country skis to get to the office.
The National Weather Service reports that some areas have seen more than 24 inches of snow from what it is calling Winter Storm Hernando.
The wind is no joke either. Gusts have reached over 70 mph in certain locations. They are as strong as a Category 1 hurricane.
Hernando is being categorized as a nor'easter. This is a weather system that develops on the Eastern coast of the United States with winds from the northeast.
"Blizzard conditions and crippling impacts will continue through much of today for the region," said the forecast.
Tarantal didn't let the storm keep her away from the anchor desk. In a TikTok clip, she is seen putting her feet into the bindings of her cross-country skis.
"Here we go!" said Tarantal. "[These are] the lengths I will go to not move my car from the covered garage at the hotel to get to work."
The Trip Was Not an Easy One
Tarantal's journey started out pleasantly enough. She joked, "And they say the (U.S) Postal Service goes through anything!"
But she may have spoken too soon. As Tarantal got closer to the station, the wind and snowfall picked up. She found herself in whiteout conditions, making it even more difficult to navigate her way to work.
"Okay, the station is right over there. I swear!" she said, pointing at the building.
As a news van pulled through the snow-filled parking lot, Tarantal said with a laugh, "Made it to the newsroom."
You have to admire Tarantal's dedication to her work under such conditions. It certainly has us reconsidering all those times we called in sick with a stuffy nose and cough.
