The newest trailer for The Madison, the latest series from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, has just dropped.

The drama was once billed as a spinoff of the five-season Dutton family saga. Starring Michelle Pfiefer, Kurt Russell, Patrick J. Adams, Mathew Fox, and Will Arnett, The Madison will follow the exploits of the Clyburn family.
The clan is making their way from New York City to the Madison River Valley in Montana after a tragedy. Pfeiffer's character, Stacy Clyburn, is working through her grief as she tries to rebuild her life. The cast also includes Danielle Vasinova, Ben Schnetzer, Patrick J. Adams, Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, and Elle Chapman.
While the two shows share a similar location (Montana), we honestly can't see the connection between this series and Yellowstone.
What Else Do We Know About "The Madison"?
The show's first teaser premiered during the finale of Landman several weeks ago. It has been described as a "heartfelt study of grief and human connection" and "profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation."
Schnetzer reportedly plays a rancher, while Chapman and Garrett portray Pfeiffer's daughters: the privileged Paige and the recently divorced Abigail, respectively. Adams stars as Paige's investment-banker husband. Russell's role remains a mystery. The Madison also serves as a reunion for Pfeiffer and Russel, who starred together in the 1988 thriller Tequila Sunrise.
The six-episode first season will kick off on March 14. The second season has already filmed. In December, crews were spotted on Main Street in Dallas. The home of the Cowboys served a stand-in for New York City.
So Is "The Madison" A "Yellowstone" Spinoff?
The show's Wikipedia page and most articles about the series claim that The Madison is connected to Yellowstone.
However, a Google search led us to a blog run by Paramount+, the streamer where the series will premiere. In the article, the Clyburns' connection to the Duttons is made crystal clear.
"No, The Madison is not a Yellowstone spinoff," it reads. "The Madison is an original new drama. The show's central family, the Clyburns, are not connected to the Duttons or the Dutton family tree."
There you have it. Sure, The Madison is its own thing. But given Sheridan's track record, this certainly looks like it's worth the watch.
