Bunnie Xo is opening up about her life and past in her new memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic. One incident she discusses is her past drug use and how she almost lost a hand due to a sketchy tattoo.

At the time, Bunnie Xo says she was addicted to crystal meth. During a "drug-induced manic episode", she went to get two stars tattooed on her wrists. The tattoo artist was "in some random dude's garage." Bunnie Xo says she and the tattoo artist did drugs before the session. He then tattooed one wrist in five minutes.
"He moved on to the next one, and for some reason, the pain felt good. I wanted more," writes Bunnie. She asked him to "go deeper" with the needle. The tattoo artist dug deeper for apparently hours. "It went so deep that he hit my wristbone, and I started bleeding so much he finally had to stop."
Bunnie Xo Almost Lost His Hand
After the tattoo session, her hand started to swell.
"I was on enough drugs that my body didn't have a chance in hell of healing itself normally, and the fact that I'd had ink drilled into my bloodstream didn't help," she writes. "My entire arm was infected. My wrist was the size of my biceps, and my fingers were swollen like balloons. The whole room smelled like death."
Her friend encouraged her to see a doctor. Upon arriving at the hospital, the doctor put her on an antibiotic IV drip. He warned that she was very close to having her hand amputated due to the infection.
"He sent me home with antibiotics and the fear of God," she also writes. "I was done with meth. I would never touch it again."
It's just one moment that Bunnie Xo discusses in her memoir.
"It doesn't matter what you've been through. It doesn't matter where you come from. Believe in yourself, and know that you can change your life at any time and at any age," she also said. "I'm so thankful, and I'm just at a place of peace."
