Trace Adkins recently began his 30th anniversary tour. However, what fans didn't know at the time is that this might be the last chance to see him live. In a red-carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, Adkins hinted that his retirement is approaching.

"I knew 10 years ago," Adkins said when asked if he knew when he would retire. "But my accountant was like, 'No,'...I'm gonna give 'em another year...I do not have another 30 in me. I do not," he said. "I'm gonna give 'em this year. I'm gonna tour hard this year. But then I can't promise anything after that."
Adkins is 64 years old. It makes sense that retirement is slowly creeping into the forefront of his mind. Touring is a gruelling process. You're away from family and loved ones. The constant travel makes routine almost impossible to come by. And, most importantly, it's both physically and mentally draining.
Of course, retiring from touring and retiring from making music are two different things. The only problem is, we're not sure about what form of retirement Adkins is considering. Our only guarantee is that, eventually, he will make his decision and let the world know.
Trace Adkins Recently Added More Dates to His 30th Anniversary Tour
Adkins 30th anniversary tour is celebrating the release of his platinum-selling debut album "Dreamin' Out Loud." And, by the looks of things, it's going incredibly well, because recently, he added more dates.
"By popular demand, more dates for Trace's 30th Anniversary Tour have been added!" Adkins posted to Instagram.
The post shows a March 7 gig in Fort Worth, Texas, as the first of 30 dates. The final show is scheduled for September 19 and will take place in Charles Town, West Virginia.
His post received significant interaction on Instagram, earning 4,600 likes and 1,600 comments. So, if you're worried that this might be Adkins's last go around, you have plenty of opportunity to snag some tickets and make it to one of his (potentially) final shows.
Or, you can hold out hope he's just toying with us and has at least one more tour left in the tank.
