When it comes to power couples, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are among the gold standard. The country music couple has been together for almost 30 years. In fact, their milestone anniversary is in October. And, if you were to ask Tim, it's thanks to Faith that he's still enjoying success, health, and happiness.

"I was drinking a lot," Tim explained during a recent appearance on The Tim Ferriss Show. "That didn't stop after we got married, but she beat it out of me after a while. I was just doing everything. I was a kid in a candy store. Especially after I got successful."
Like most of us, Tim never came from money. So, when he suddenly began earning more than he ever imagined, he didn't know how to act. That usually leads to a lot of fun, and in turn, a lot of bad decisions. Fortunately, Faith was on hand to get him back on track.
"I had never had any money before, never been around any of that stuff before," Tim continued. "Then all of the sudden, it became a tool that was useful until it wasn't. When Faith came along, I was burning it wide open. She started tapping the brakes for me."

Later in the interview, Tim spoke about his deep love for Faith, and not just because of her talent or good looks.
"She's magic," he said. "Not just her singing and her looks. Of course, that's all a bonus. But as a person, she's just magic. She just lights up a room, and she lit me up. And still does. I wouldn't be the same artist had I not met her."
After 30 years of marriage, Tim still credits faith with a significant portion of his success. It's clear the couple are as close as ever. That's how you become, and more importantly, stay a power couple.
"I certainly wouldn't have the career that I've had, had I not met her. I would have burned out really quickly, I think."
Fortunately, Tim and Faith did find each other. And we've all been reaping the benefits ever since.
