Darron Lee was recently arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Upon going before a judge on Feb. 11, the judge ruled for the former New York Jets offensive linebacker to be held without bond.
"Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. Details emerged from the alleged murder. Lee's girlfriend, identified as Gabriella Carvalho Perpetuo, had a stab wound, a broken neck, a bite mark, and bruises,"
Police were originally called to the 7500 block of Snow Cone Way on Feb. 5. Hamilton County Sheriff's Office provided a statement on the incident.
"On the afternoon of February 5, 2026, HCSO deputies were dispatched to a residence at the 7500 block of Snow Cone Way to a report of CPR in progress," the statement read. "Upon arrival, first responders located a female victim and attempted life-saving measures; it was determined she was deceased."
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office then advised that the victim's death was the result of a homicide. Lee was named as the primary suspect at the time.
"Due to the condition of the victim and the residence, HCSO Criminal Investigative Services Detectives responded," the statement also continued. "Preliminary findings indicate the victim's death was the result of a homicide. The victim's boyfriend, Darron Lee, was identified as the suspect and taken into custody at the scene. Lee faces the following charges: First-Degree Murder, Tampering With Evidence."
The Sheriff's Office Have Described the Scene They Found Where Darron Lee Was
When appearing in court on Feb. 11, Brian Lockhart, a detective for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office has described the scene that officers found upon arrival on Feb. 5.
"The scene was in disarray," Lockhart also testified. "You walked in the door, there were boxes. A lot of stuff in the living room. The deceased was in the floor lying on her back," Lockhart told the court, per Marca. "There was blood going up the staircase, on the hand railing there was blood, on the walls there was blood, on the floor in the living room there was blood, in the floor on the hallway and the stairs. There was blood in just about every room except one."
According to autopsy findings, the victim was allegedly found with severe brain trauma, a broken neck, and bruising across multiple areas of her body. And a large bite mark on both her shoulder and thigh.
"Authorities also cited stab wounds to her legs. The official cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma," Marca reported.
