Country Singer Becomes New Face of American Eagle After Sydney Sweeney Controversy

Sydney Sweeney, make way for Ella Langley! She is succeeding Sweeney as "the new face of American Eagle," per People. The "Choosin' Texas" singer seems like an ideal pick to be the company's brand ambassador. Langley is wildly popular thanks to her massive success as a singer, she has loads of charisma, and she is photogenic as well. Plus Langley has a personal history of loving the brand's clothing.

Langley Wore American Eagle as a Kid

According to the outlet, Ella Langley wore American Eagle as a youngster. "I have these photos growing up wearing American Eagle shorts that my mom bedazzled herself. It was the first pair of denim I loved," the 26-year-old Alabama native shared. She added that the brand's signature vibe aligns well with her own goals as an artist. Country music is all about being real. America Eagle is relaxed, stylish, and above all, authentic.

Langley explained, "American Eagle has always been about being yourself, and that's something I really try to get across in my music. My style in day-to-day life is pretty laid-back, a little outdoorsy, and always about comfort, so working with a brand that celebrates that felt right."

She Shuns Artifice

Anything that is too contrived and artificial, Langley gives the thumbs-down to. She said per the outlet, "The most important thing is that I don't want to force anything. I want any set I'm on to feel like a normal day in my life, just with a few more cameras!"

The clothes in the American Eagle casual-but-with-flair line are just like what she would put on in real life. In fact, she jokingly considers herself a "denim darling."

Plus Langley is very much a participant in how the line is being presented. "I love going through every detail from the set and location to the music and my own inspiration."

She Still Plans To Make Time for Restorative Self-Care

Langley will drop a new album, Dandelion, on April 10. She'll also be going on tour. But the singer always also likes to unwind, take stock, and just serenely chill out. "There is no better feeling than washing off my makeup. Then I put on a perfect playlist and have a moment to just slow down, light a candle, take a breath and think about the day with my dogs at my side."
