As we approach Super Bowl LX, what better way to celebrate than to reminisce on the time when country singer Kenny Chesney ended up with a Super Bowl ring of his own.

In his book, Heart Life Music, Chesney reflects on people who have inspired and shaped the man he is today. In the book, he mentions his friendship with Sean Payton, who coached the New Orleans Saints from 2006 to 2021.
In 2010, when the Saints beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-17, Chesney and his band ended up playing at the afterparty. Originally, however, a different artist was supposed to perform for a hefty fee.
"We were talking about the afterparties," Chesney wrote. "Especially if the Saints won. That's when [Sean] told me what the act the team's management wanted was going to charge them. I get it. Private shows are big money. But for a team that faced down Katrina a few years prior, for a team who had ascended to this unthinkable level?"
That's when Chesney offered that he and his guys do it for free. Free meaning, in exchange for tickets to the game, of course.
Later on, Payton would give Chesney a one-of-a-kind gift in return: a Super Bowl ring from that year, with Chesney's name on it.
Kenny Chesney Has More Than One Super Bowl Ring
Even though part of Chesney will probably always be a Saints fan, the country star definitely has more than one team that he roots for. Part of this has to do with the fact that Chesney is also known to be friends with Robert Kraft, who has owned the New England Patriots since 1994.
In 2017, Kraft also gifted Chesney a Super Bowl ring for his dedication to the team over the years. At the time, Kraft was celebrating the Patriots' comeback win against the Falcons. Chesney even told Rich Eisen that the ring Robert "had 283 diamonds on it."
In an Instagram post, Chesney shared some of the shots he took of the Patriots vs. Raiders game in September. He captioned them, "Feels great to be back in New England to watch the first @Patriots game of the season with my friend Robert Kraft. Love you brother".
It's not a hard guess as to whom he'll be rooting for at this year's Super Bowl.
