In a slightly cryptic message, the country singer told fans that "family comes first," but did not further explain the reason for cancelling. Instead, on Instagram, the singer reposted an X post from EA Sports that elaborated on his message.
The post read, "Update: Luke has to hold it down at home with a new one on the way. All love for Luke and his family — and we can't wait to put an unforgettable #MaddenBowl with Zach Bryan leading an incredible night of music and football for the fans."
Luke's wife, Nicole, is currently expecting their third child, which she announced with her husband on September 23, 2025. On an Instagram post, she wrote, "Third time's a charm! ? Baby #3 coming this winter ?."
The post featured a super cute video of her sons, Tex and Beau, being shown ultrasound photos of their soon-to-be-younger sibling.
Zach Bryan will be performing in place of Combs at the Madden Bowl, which takes place tonight, two days before Super Bowl LX.
Why Luke Combs Didn't Tour Much in 2025
Luke Combs has often been known to prioritize his family over his career, especially in recent years. After the release of his 2025 album, Fathers & Sons, Combs announced that he did not plan to tour. In an interview with People, he further explained his decision to take a sabbatical.
"I want to be home with my kids," Combs told the magazine. "I want to see my kids grow up, and I want them to know that they're important to me."
"We're only doing festivals this year. We got 20-something shows this year. I've already done 10 of them. I got 14 more shows for the rest of the year. I want to be home with my kids." He explained, "I want to see my kids grow up, and I want them to know that they're important to me."
Back in October, Combs shared that he would be getting "Back In The Saddle" with the My Kinda Saturday Night world tour.
This tour starts on March 21 and runs until August 2.
