Former Little Caesars Employee Accused Of Breaking into Store And Selling Customers Pizzas

A former Little Caesars employee is facing charges in North Carolina after breaking into his former shop to serve customers.

Talk about being off the deep end, or in this case, deep dish. A former Little Caesars employee is facing charges in North Carolina after breaking into his former shop. But apparently, he wasn't trying to burglarize the place. He was just looking for ways to make some cold, hard dough by selling fresh, hot 'n ready dough.

Authorities have accused him of making and selling pizzas to hungry customers from the store. They arrested 41-year-old Jonathon Hackett. Hackett's arrest comes after cops responded to calls of a break-in at the Little Caesars.

According to

the Kinston Police Department, authorities found Hackett had "unlawfully entered the business on two separate occasions." It was on that first occasion that Hackett had fixed several pizzas and sold them to customers. He then kept all of the money, essentially cutting out the franchise from its profits.

Little Caesars Break In

Allegedly, he made and sold 10 pizzas at the store. Hackett even sold the pies at the same price that Little Caesars is known for. So he only made about $50 on the whole ordeal, allegedly, of course. But his second alleged break-in is when things got physical.

Little Caesars employees allegedly tried to stop Hackett from entering the store for a second time. This led to a fight between Hackett and his former co-workers. Hackett suffered injuries during the fight and had to go to UNC Lenoir for treatment.

Then, authorities carted him off to jail with a swollen shut eye. They charged him with breaking and entering, obtaining property by false pretenses, and larceny after breaking and entering.

"It was very strange, you know, it's nothing I'd ever heard of," Kinston Police Chief Keith Goyette told the local outlet. "It's nothing we've ever seen, you know, in my 26 years of law enforcement here in Kinston. So, this was a head scratcher and a first for us."
