The "Patterns" singer recently appeared in actress Madelyn Cline's Instagram story on Feb 2. The two of them seemed to be hanging out casually, covering their faces as if they were laughing at something.
Regardless of what was going on, the story's message is loud and clear. If you thought the Outer Banks star and country singer were feuding, think again.
Earlier in January, Chase and kelsea re-hard launched their relationship in an unexpected Instagram post. The couple had broken up in September of 2025, when sources claimed that Chase and Kelsea "gave it their all," but that it just wasn't enough.
Stokes confirmed their relationship with an update in January. "Something I've learned this year: don't take advantage of the most beautiful things that in 33 years of life are fleeting. Cline and Stokes, who both star in Netflix's Outer Banks, also dated in 2020 and broke up in 2021.
Why Did Fans Think Madelyn and Kelsea Were Feuding?
In November of 2025, rumors of a feud began when Kelsea released her EP, Mount Pleasant. It features the song, "Emerald City", which fans suspect might be about Madelyn. The song talks about being jealous of an ex, which Madelyn is, and someone who has brown eyes, which Madelyn does.

It seems like there's no beef on Madelyn and Kelsea's end, but just this morning, fans noticed that the actress had unfollowed Chase on Instagram.
