Lainey Wilson Starring in a New 'Yellowstone' Spinoff? Country Star Tells Taylor Sheridan "Holler at Me"

Lainey Wilson may be turning her sights to an acting career along with her singing. She dropped a few hints lately.

Lainey Wilson is as popular professionally these days as it gets. She beautifully solo-hosted the CMA Awards in November, when she snagged an Entertainer of the Year honor. Fans love her wardrobe and accessories that redefine Western chic. Her signature look is feminine and contemporary, usually with a sparkly twist. And Wilson also has a wedding in the works to her longtime beau, Devlin "Duck" Hodges.

What else can there be on tap for the "Somewhere Over Laredo" singer? Well, maybe an acting career to add to the mix. Wilson has been dropping some hints lately that involve the Yellowstone mastermind Taylor Sheridan.

Wilson Might Have Her Gaze Set on Future Acting Stints

With her charisma and magnetic presence, it's easy to envision Lainey Wilson as an actress. She was in season 5 of Yellowstone playing an emerging singer named Aby. And she has a role in an upcoming film, Reminders of Him. It will be out next month.

On Sunday, February 1, Wilson was chatting breezily on the Grammys red carpet. She was wearing a striking black, off-the-shoulder ensemble paired with a silver statement necklace and a black cowgirl hat. Wilson looked every inch like country music royalty.

She's Leaving the Door Open

She told Entertainment Tonight, "The truth is? I never, in a million years, thought that I'd be doing acting. I've always loved telling a story. No matter what, my music is number one. But if all these other opportunities are showing up, I'd sure hate to close the door on them." Wilson added, "When I hear Lainey Wilson: singer, songwriter, artist, performer, and actress, I really want to live up to that." So far Wilson has been a great multi-hyphenate.

And as for being in a Yellowstone spinoff, the singer teased, "I told [the series' co-creator] Taylor Sheridan, 'Holler at me!' But who knows? We'll see. Fingers crossed."

It's Not Easy To Catch up With Her

Wilson is super busy. In fact, she mentioned at the Grammys that she had to leave in the middle of the event to get to New Zealand for some upcoming shows. That sure is a woman on the move!
