It Sounds Like Travis Kelce Is Playing Next Season, per This Chiefs Super Bowl Champion

Many have wondered whether Travis Kelce will return to the Kansas City Chiefs next season.

While his stats during the 2025 NFL season were solid, recording 76 receptions for over 850 receiving yards, there is speculation that the 36-year-old tight end will hang up his cleats after 13 seasons.

The man has a lot going on. You may have heard that Kelce will soon marry his billionaire girlfriend, Taylor Swift. He also has an amusement park empire to run. But with the Chiefs not reaching the playoffs this season, Kelce may still have something to prove.

"I think I'm still searching for those answers," he told retired NFL star Tony Gonzalez. "I feel motivated, but I got to make the right decision for me."

While we haven't heard anything else from Kelce, the Chiefs' new offensive coordinator, Eric Bieniemy, may have shared that the star is returning for another season. We have the details below.

Bieniemy Talked About the Excitement of Reuniting With Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes

Bieniemy is returning to the Chiefs after spending three years with the Washington Commanders, Chicago Bears, and UCLA. He spoke about coming back to the team during a press conference on Jan. 28 and catching up with Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

"I've had a small, minimal conversation with both and they all have been great, but more than anything, it's just the excitement of reuniting," Bieniemy said, according to PEOPLE.

He added, "It feels good just to sit down and have conversations with guys. To be honest, I haven't talked any football or anything, it's just the excitement of seeing each other, asking how they're doing and making sure everything is good moving forward."

If one were to read too much into Bieniemy's comments, it sure does sound like Kelce is coming back. However, he could just be talking about how nice it is to work with him and Mahomes again. He then spoke about how excited he is to work with the offensive duo.

"Am I fired up? Yes. Do I respect the hell out of both those guys? Yes," Bieniemy said. "So I'm looking forward to getting back in the grind and chopping wood with them."

There you have it. Of course, nothing is certain until we hear from Kelce himself. But it sounds like the Chiefs have something to prove, and they're counting on Kelce to be a part of the plan.
