Popular Soap Opera Star Is in a One Way Feud With Carrie Underwood

A popular soap opera star appears to be having a one-sided feud with Carrie Underwood. They haven't exactly been quiet about their disdain for the "Jesus Take The Wheel" singer.

General Hospital star Nancy Lee Grahn took to social media to cast shade at Underwood. Posting on the platform Threads, Grahn revealed that she would be skipping out on watching Jimmy Kimmel Live! because Underwood was a guest. The singer appeared on the talk show alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan to promote American Idol.

The soap opera star wrote, "See ya next week @jimmykimmel. I refuse to even look at @carrieunderwood."

It has nothing to do with music and everything to do with politics. Grahn is not a fan of the fact that Underwood performed "America the Beautiful" during Donald Trump's January 2025 inauguration. As a critic of Trump, Grahn is now angry at Underwood for the move.

Feuding With Carrie Underwood

Comedian Kathy Griffin also jumped into the comments to agree. "Yeah, no love for maga Carrie. It's not just about political disagreements anymore," Griffin wrote.

The soap opera star later clarified that she wasn't bashing Kimmel but voicing her disdain for the singer.

"Truth matters. I LOVE Jimmy Kimmel & watch him every night," Grahn said on Threads. "I would never 'slam' him. I simply said I would watch him next week because I didn't want to look at Carrie Underwood (for obvious reasons) who was his guest that night." She further added, "Come on guys, I'm not worth the silly clickbait."

But it just sounds like she poured gas on the fire. For Underwood's part, she hasn't publicly declared a political affiliation. When speaking about the inauguration, the singer expressed her desire to unite the country. Underwood said, "I love our country and am honored... to be a small part of this historic event," adding, "we must all come together... and [look] to the future."

But the one-sided feud continues. Previously, in December, Grahn called Underwood out for being MAGA. "I thought everyone knew Carrie Underwood was MAGA. She's American, all right, but certainly no Idol," she wrote at the time.

The country singer hasn't publicly responded to Grahn or her comments.
