Messina Posted a Video of Her Father
Jo Dee Messina, 55, posted a sweet video on Instagram showing Vincent singing "Daddy's Little Girl." He seems to be seated at a dining room table. At one point, he becomes emotional. There is happy laughter in the background. Messina captioned it, "November 31, 1931-January 23, 2026. We lost my dad last night. It doesn't matter how old you are, it's never easy to lose a parent. So much more to his story..."
She added, "He got so emotional and today, I can barely watch this. I love you Daddy. Give mom a hug for me." Her mother Mary died five years ago.
He Was an Industrious and Devoted Family Man
Per Country Thang Daily, Massachusetts native Vincent Messina was a very special person. "He was a respected high school basketball coach and a hard-working car factory man," per the outlet.
He was his daughter's touchstone through all the ups and downs of her life and career. Mary Messina was the same way. She headed her daughter's fan club and loyally stood by her. Losing two such caring and wonderful parents is indeed incredibly hard.
