There are several reasons why adults are having fewer children. Reports point to the economy, job and housing insecurity, and the rising cost of childcare. But leave it to Kid Rock to defy the experts and think outside the box.

In a clip from May 2025 that is once again going viral, the "All Summer Long" rocker shared his theory with Fox News host Jesse Watters. And yeah, in typical Kid Rock fashion, it made some people upset. We have the details below.
Jesse Watters Wasn't Even Asking Kid Rock About Having Kids
Watters asked Kid Rock if he had ever seen anyone at his shows with blue hair and unshaved armpits. The musician responded as follows.
"We have this low birth rate in America, and it all made sense to me," he said. "It just hit me right now, because who's going to sleep with these ugly-a**, broke, crazy, deranged, TDS liberal women? I mean, you look at these rallies, it's like a bunch of women that no guy wants to sleep with and a bunch of dudes that want to sleep with each other."
The clip has now surpassed 1 million views since it reemerged this year. As comments from Kid Rock usually do, his comment has sharply divided people on social media.
While some have claimed that the type of women that the singer has described "have ruined the dating scene," others strongly disagree. One of those offended is none other than Dolly Parton's sister, Stella.
"Liberal women don't sleep with stinky, nasty, dirty, poor hygienic, man babies who whine and disrespect them," she posted last year. "They marry and sleep with real men!"
Kid Rock Can't Be Canceled
In another appearance on Jesse Watters Primetime back in October, Kid Rock and the host discussed Halloween costumes.
Watters said he and his family were dressing as Scooby Doo characters. Kid Rock then held up a face mask and told the host he was going as the R-word. The two then have a laugh.
Loretta Claiborne, the Chief Inspiration Officer of the Special Olympics, responded to those comments in an open letter posted on the organization's website, calling for an apology.
She wrote, "Please acknowledge the hurt caused and use this moment to stand with us in rejecting that word and the prejudice it represents."
Kid Rock never replied to the letter. Like Ted Nugent before him, he can't be canceled.
