We all dream of retiring in our late 40s. Even Chris Stapleton is considering the idea.

When the "Tennessee Whiskey" singer sat down with Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast, the conversation turned to how Stapleton is weighing the notion of slowing down.
Could this year's leg of the 47-year-old's "All-American Road Show" tour be his last? We have the details below.
Chris Stapleton Says He's "Not Really in the Mood" To Write Another Album
Though Stapleton has continued to release singles and collaborate with the likes of Miranda Lambert, during his chat with Shepard, he admitted he doesn't know when he'll make another record or write a new song.
"I'm probably not really in the mood," he says. "And that's ok with me.... I don't know how much longer I'll even go play. I want to make a thoughtful decision... (my family) gave a lot for me to be sitting here with you, and I owe them some things, I think, some time in particular. I've done more than I've ever set out to do."
Stapleton shared that, having exceeded his own career expectations, he is now seeking some new inspiration.
"It's important to find that," he explains. "For me, fuel is the search. I'm gonna have to search for something. I'm gonna have to hunt for something. I don't know what that is or where it's going to come from... I'm not hanging up my spurs. I'm just saying I'm looking for the fire. I need the fire. And I want the fire to lead. Sometimes that's more elusive now than it used to be."
The Singer Said Part of His Plan Is To Shave His Beard and Disappear
With another year of shows on the horizon, retirement seems to be far off for Stapleton. While he joked with Shepard that part of his plan is to shave his signature beard and disappear, he believes that he's done enough in his career, and he owes his fans "100% of whatever" he has left in him.
Stapleton added, "I feel very resolute in that, and if I don't think I can deliver on that, I have to evaluate."
