Those same fans dealt with sub-zero temperatures throughout the night. Being able to watch the Hoosiers' continued pursuit of history seemed to be more than enough of a motivating factor.

The game itself isn't set to kick off until 7:30 PM on Monday night, with Miami fans being treated to the contest on their home turf. Of course, for most IU fans, that trip would be far too costly. So, camping out, braving the elements and watching with friends at a local drinking spot was the next-best option.

According to SeatGeek, tickets for the game between Miami and Indiana have begun to surge in price, with one being sold for a mind-blowing $29,000. You can't put a price on history, right?

The Indiana Hoosiers Are Undefeated This Season

You might be wondering why Indiana fans are so excited for the upcoming game against Miami U. Well, first of all, we're talking about the CFP championship game.

However, it's the fact that Indiana is 15-0 on the season, and has shown no sign of slowing down. They've won big. Ground out victories in absolute slugfests. And, when necessary, toed the line between aggressive and creative to unlock opposing defenses.

Still, you may be wondering why this specific game is so important. Well, the Hoosiers are on the verge of achieving something that hasn't been done since 1894: completing a perfect 16-0 season. The last, and only, other team to achieve that feat is the Yale Bulldogs. That achievement came long before television and before both world wars.

So, it makes sense why so many fans are going to extreme lengths to ensure they create memories around the event. After all, if the Hoosiers achieve their goal, we may not see another season like this in our lifetime.
