On the Literally! podcast, Chesney revealed that, on occasion, he undergoes plasma exchange, which he described as "really intense, but you feel fantastic." He also revealed that he likes to do a "cold plunge" and "a lot of IV stuff." These treatments, which Chesney jokingly describes as "witchcraft stuff", are actually the secret sauce that keeps him fit and ready for his long tours.
As far as his diet goes, Chesney abides by a few strict rules, including no carbs after 5 p.m. and no alcohol while on tour. When it comes to workouts, the singer likes to use the treadmill to keep his voice in top-tier condition.
"To start every workout, I run on the treadmill for 30 minutes while singing the first 30 minutes of my setlist," Chesney told Bobby Bones. "It helps me prepare my lungs and brain for the upcoming performances." Chesney has also been known to hit the weights, often focusing on high-rep endurance exercises to keep his heart healthy.
Will Kenny Chesney Be Back on the Road for 2026?
So, is Chesney planning on going on tour anytime soon, or is he stuck at home hitting the gym?
Yes, this year Chesney has plans to continue his residency in Las Vegas. He also plans to make an appearance at the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In recent conversations, Chesney has expressed a desire not only to change his setlist for upcoming shows at the Las Vegas Sphere, but also to make the most of the Sphere's incredible technology.
"Sphere's layout creates this intimacy that lets me do songs I can't play in a stadium—songs we love, songs I haven't played in forever," Chesney shares on his website. "So the ability to slow the tempo down lets us take this year's show into some places we just can't, even pull things out just because. The band and I are talking about it - and figuring out what songs we want to add."
"Knowing what we know now, we're working on new songs, some things we can't do in stadiums, new visuals, new momentum to the set," he revealed. "Having watched No Shoes Nation taking it all in, we have a much better sense of how to make Sphere even more."
It sounds like fans need to get ready, because Kenny Chesney's got some exciting things planned for the new year.
