The Title of the New ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff Has Finally Been Revealed (and It’s Probably Not What You Think)

Beth and Rip's story in 'Yellowstone' is set to continue in a 2026 spinoff, and we could not be more excited to see what's in store for them.

Yellowstone, the high-stakes family western drama, is bringing its audience several new spinoffs to look forward to in 2026. One of these is the highly anticipated Beth and Rip sequel, which is set to pick up where Yellowstone left off.

During the 2026 Golden Globes on Sunday, CBS gave viewers a glimpse of what they can expect from the Yellowstone sequel. In doing so, they revealed the official name of the series, which might come as a surprise to some fans. Spoiler alert! The name of the new show is Dutton Ranch.

Well, that's interesting. Just this past year, it was denied that the name Dutton Ranch was even a possibility. Cole Hauser, who plays the role of Rip Wheeler, told Fox News in March, "Well, first of all, it's not Dutton Ranch. That's not the name of it."

However, he did promise fans that the show would emulate Yellowstone, at least in terms of quality. "We can expect the same that we've been doing for the last seven years," he said. "Kelly (Reilly) and I are going and working our a-- off trying to create something special."

Now, it seems like the statement was maybe an attempt to keep fans guessing, and it definitely worked.

'Dutton Ranch' Beth Might Be a Little Different From 'Yellowstone' Beth

Dutton Ranch, as detailed in a recent trailer, is going to continue to follow the lives of Beth and Rip as they raise Carter and attempt to start over somewhere new.

"Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch. With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he's supposed to be."

In a 2024 interview with Town and Country, Kelly Reilly spoke about what it's been like to play Beth. She also talked about what audiences can expect from Beth in the new sequel to Yellowstone.

"I love gearing up to play her, because there's an adrenaline to Beth and it's very energizing," she shared. "But it's also incredibly gnarly. I have to hide all of me away to put some of that on."

She also teased that Dutton Ranch will show fans a side to Beth that they haven't yet seen. "I am definitely interested in Beth, and who she is after some things have happened. Who is she in peace? As an actor you're like, 'Ooh, let me at that.' Wouldn't it be fun to watch Beth go to therapy?"

We don't have a date yet for Dutton Ranch. However, it's expected that the series will come out sometime in 2026.
