Zach Bryan’s New Wife Gifts Him Guitar That Once Belonged to Bob Weir

Zach Bryan just got married. His new wife gave him a guitar that once belonged to Bob Weir, who passed away on January 10.

Country music star Zach Bryan, 29, has been making news lately, mostly for positive reasons. He wed his girlfriend, Samantha Leonard, in a romantic ceremony recently. Bryan also just released a new album, With Heaven On Top, featuring 25 tracks. These developments are a refreshing change from the buzz about his feud with fellow country music sensation Gavin Adcock and the nasty aftermath of his split with former girlfriend Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia.

Writing on Instagram, Bryan announced that not only has the acoustic version of the album dropped. He also disclosed that his new bride gave him a very special instrument with a distinguished lineage.

Bryan Now Owns Bob Weir's Guitar

The "Something In The Orange" singer wrote, "'With Heaven on Top (Acoustic)' is out now. this one's for all the weird audiophiles that no matter how much I put into a record will always miss just a guitar & me. like I said it's just me n a room with a mic and guitar and a very pretty girl and a very small dog. Love u guys and hope you enjoy it."

As for the treasured guitar, Bryan posted, "Irrelevant but rest in peace to Bob Weir that guy [expletive] rocked the day Sammy and me got hitched she gave me a present and I opened it and it was his telecaster from all his days on the road we all love you and we will all miss you if this wasn't previously planned to release today I would have left this alone and let the world be"

Weir, a founding member of the Grateful Dead, died on January 10 at the age of 78. He occupies a lofty niche in rock and roll lore and always will. Having his guitar is an honor for Bryan and a privilege.
