Broadway Rage: Man Goes Ballistic on Women Seated Behind Him in Viral ‘Mamma Mia!’ Freakout

We've all experienced it: you're trying to enjoy an exciting movie or a Broadway show, but people behind you disrupt the experience by talking or even singing along.

You want to yell at them, but there's that part of you that doesn't want to make a scene.

But during a recent performance of the musical Mamma Mia! on Broadway, a man ignored that part of his brain telling him to keep calm. He raged out at the women behind him, and someone filmed the outburst.

You can check out the epic rant below.

On Broadway, the Drama Is on Stage and in the Audience

If you've seen Mamma Mia!, then you know what a fun experience it is. It follows a young bride-to-be who invites three of her mother's old boyfriends to her wedding, and any one of them could be her father.

The whole plot is tied together by the songs of the Swedish pop group ABBA, so it's not uncommon for members of the audience to sing along to "Dancing Queen" or "SOS."

It's possible that the women sitting behind the man in question forgot that the actors were the only ones supposed to break out in song. Maybe they were using language better suited to a sailor than to a venue hosting a Broadway production.

Whatever their behavior, it became too much for the man, who lost his cool during intermission.

"I need security over here now," he screams. You can hear one of the women say, "I was just singing the song."

"You want me to make a scene?" he then shouts. "I'm going to make a scene!"

What Set the Man Off?

It's hard to tell what exactly caused the man to lose his temper. As he calls for security again, he says the whole section of the theater "knows they've been loud and obnoxious."

"They've been using profanity in front of my nieces," he adds. Of course, that didn't stop the man from screaming "bulls***" a few seconds beforehand.

The man then apologizes to an usher and leaves his seat.

We're not sure if this man is the hero or the villain in this story. He's just someone saying the quiet things we sometimes want to say to other people out loud. Very loud.
