"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal." Arrochar Mountain Rescue said. "Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family, friends, and all those affected by this heartbreaking loss."

Ure's wife, Linsey Waddell, shared a brief statement on Facebook following the news of her husband's tragic death.

"On your birthday, you wanted to look at the stars with me,"

Linsey wrote. "Little did I know, the next day you would be one of those stars. You were my guiding light and the biggest star of all."

Andrew Ure Was Also a Director of a Whisky Shop

In true Scottish fashion, Ure was a big fan of whisky. So much so, that he was a director for a whisky shop in Linlithgow. "The Wee Whisky shop" released a statement to social media.

"Words cannot fully express the pain of this loss, and our thoughts are with Andrew's family at this incredibly difficult time," the statement read. "Thank you to everyone who has already reached out with their kind messages and condolences."

The shop remained closed until January 6th. The post also featured some pictures of Ure with the owners of the shop.

Of course, other tributes have since been flooding in. The Summer Rays had previously performed with Paolo Nutini, who led the tributes online. Ure's brother also posted his own tribute, labelling Ure as his "best pal," and sharing his heartache at the loss.
