The milestone has already attracted the attention of news outlets. After all, doing something for almost 3650 days is incredibly impressive. Most of us can't keep consistent with a workout program for more than two weeks.

In a recent interview with Whiskey Riff, McCoy explained why he started posting the daily Pledge of Allegiance.

"I was sitting at home and I told my wife, I said, 'I'm just going to type in the Pledge of Allegiance on my Facebook page," McCoy said. "And she said, 'What are you doing that for?' It was early January of 2016 and I knew that the Republicans and Democrats were trying to figure out who their nominees were going to be for president. I said, 'Really, what I want to do is just let people know that the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States of America is just a small, short thing. But it's pledging your love for our American flag and our country."

Neal McCoy Is Posting out of Pride for His Country, Not a Political Agenda

McCoy was keen to stress that his daily pledge wasn't built on the back of a political agenda. Instead, it's born out of a sense of pride for his country, for being an American.

"I just want to let people know before we start bickering back and forth that we still should show love and respect for our flag and our country. Pretty simple ... It's not meant to be political. It's just meant to show your love and respect for our flag and country. Doggone, it can't be that hard."

After a decade of going live to a loyal audience, McCoy has a daily routine. He doesn't feel like his day starts until he's completed his pledge.

Therefore, even once he surpasses the 10-year mark, it's unlikely he will stop showing up for his fellow Americans anytime soon.
