With "Choosin' Texas" taking off, Ella Langley has been getting her music covered left and right. This includes renditions from strangers on the internet to people with major vocal chops like Kelly Clarkson. But this week, Langley graced us with a cover of her own, and it took a lot of her followers by surprise.

On TikTok, Langley did a country-fied version of "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley. The country star successfully "rick rolled" her followers, but in the twangiest way possible. "Been stuck in my head all day," Langley captioned the post.
"You should make an 80s rock and roll cover album", one follower suggested in the comments, to which Langley responded, "My dream." Trust us, after hearing this version of the Rick Astley hit, it's now our dream too, Ella!
Ella Langley Reflects on Her Much-Needed Hiatus
This year, Langley took time off from her busy schedule, which included opening slots for Morgan Wallen and Riley Green. She admitted that, while she didn't want to rest, she felt it was best for her "mind, body, and heart."
"I'm so sad to be posting this," she shared in an August Instagram post. "The past several weeks have been tough. I've been fighting sickness and feeling more run down than ever. After a lot of thought, I've made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus on my health—mind, body, and heart.
I want to be fully present for all the moments ahead, and I know I can't do that without first taking care of myself. Sometimes we have to listen when our bodies and hearts are telling us to slow down. I'm so grateful for your understanding and your love—it truly means the world to me."
Recently, Ella admitted to fans that, while it wasn't easy, that time she took turned out to be much needed. While performing at the Ryman Auditorium, Langley got vulnerable with the crowd.
"I took a couple of weeks off this year, and I hadn't really spoken a lot about it since." She continued, explaining, "Since I graduated high school, seriously, I've put this thing number one in my life above everything else, above myself, really."
I can't explain how much that changed my life. I got to read my Bible for two straight weeks." She shared, "I got to go back home and spend more time there than I had spent at home since I left. I got to sit there and see what is happening in my life and the thing that I'm working so hard for, and how it is changing my life and my family's life."
Since then, Langley's been crushing it, with multiple CMAs now under her belt and a new album in the works. We can't wait to see what this lady's got in store for us next, cover album or not.
