Thomas Rhett has already sung duets with several big stars, including Maren Morris, Jon Pardi, Morgan Wallen and more. But there is one artist he really, really wants to collaborate with, and it's someone outside of country music.

"I would say out of this genre, Bruno Mars has kind of always been my 'one,'" Rhett reveals. "You know, we just gotta like hang out one time and write a song, and I feel like something could happen. But yeah, Bruno would be a lot of fun to duet with. If I could just get a little bit of his swagger, like even just a third, and be able to dance similarly, I feel like we could record something really neat."
Rhett happens to have another duet, out now. He just released "Old Tricks," a collaboration with Blake Shelton. The song is from Rhett's About A Woman (& a Good Ol' Boy) record, out now. The record follows his About A Woman, out last year. The song is out as Rhett is enjoying a Top 5 hit with "After All The Bars Are Closed."
Thomas Rhett Encourages Pop Music In Country
Opinions abound about pop artists like Post Malone and Beyoncé making country music. Some might criticize it, but Rhett says he is all for their inclusion within the genre.
"I guess you have to ask yourself the question, 'How many people do you want to know about country music?'" Rhett reflects. "[There are] a lot of people that were brought into country music with a lot of different artists in our genre. [They] might not have listened, had it not been for a couple of different artists.
"I've always been a big believer that the more people that can hear country music, the better," he adds. "If that takes bringing in somebody from the outside world to introduce people to a lot of different artists, then I think it's a big win for our genre."
Rhett has also collaborated with artists outside of the genre. He released two songs, "God Who Listens" and "Thank You Lord" with Christian artist Chris Tomlin. He also released "Where We Started" in 2022 with Katy Perry, the same year he also released "C'est La Vie" with Surfaces.
