Country Singer Gets Kicked Out of Country Jam Festival—Right After Playing His Set

Country singer Dylan Marlowe might be the first to play a festival and get kicked out on the same night.

After finishing his set at the Country Jam Festival, singer Dylan Marlowe planned to watch Jake Owen's performance that evening. His plans were changed when a security guard approached Marlowe and his friend and said they had to go elsewhere.

In a video that has since been taken down, Marlowe showed his perspective of the situation during Owen's set. "Getting kicked out of a concert I just played. Got kicked out of our concert trying to watch Jake Owen. Good job, dude. I'm a huge threat."

Marlowe's TikTok Update on Getting Kicked Out

The next morning, the 28-year-old took to TikTok to clear the air. After attending church that morning and reflecting on his actions from the night before, Marlowe took down the video. He said he had decided that "it wasn't fair for that festival to have this video blowing up about their festival when it was really just one bad apple in the whole thing."

Marlowe explained that an interaction that had started off "very politely" eventually went south. When he and his friend told the security guard that they had All-Access bands for the festival, the security guard replied, "I don't care." Marlowe said that the All-Access bands they had been given were supposed to allow them to go anywhere. That didn't appear to be the case.

The security guard had suggested they go to the pit. Marlowe explained that going to the pit after playing his set was risky. "The last thing I want to do is make a scene during Jake Owen's set because that, to me, is disrespectful."

In an attempt to move down another level, Marlowe and his friend were told to "Get the F outta here." A few heated words were exchanged between him and security, according to Marlow. "That's where he grabbed my shirt, yanked me out."

The "Boys Back Home" singer expressed his regret for "being rude back to the guy" in his TikTok. "For what I believe in and for what I'm trying to get out there, this isn't the message I'm trying to push for myself or to anybody."

He said that the original video was posted "from a place of frustration," but also that the festival was great regardless. As he said at the Country Jam festival, there were "no hard feelings" and that "we had a great time."
