Tim McGraw needs to look no further than his microphone stand for inspiration. McGraw reveals his mic stand has the first initial of his wife, Faith Hill. It also has the first initial of the couple's three daughters, Gracie, Maggie and Audrey, along with the words faith, music, and love. The initials and the words are ornately carved around the center of the stand.

"I've had that thing for a long time, and it's my center," McGraw tells his record label. "I love looking down at that every night. It just grounds me to be up there singing. And especially if I'm losing concentration or something like that, it's always cool to look down and see that.
"[If] my focus is going or something, my head space is not where it needs to be, I look down at that and see that. It reminds me of why I'm here, and what my purpose is, and it really locks me back in."
Tim McGraw's Time Away From the Road
Unfortunately, McGraw's mic stand is now away, and apparently will be for a little bit longer. McGraw took time off the road to have multiple surgeries. His recent operations include two knee surgeries, plus a neck surgery and a back surgery. He performed at Music City Rodeo last month. Sadly, he is now being forced to cancel an upcoming performance, due to his ongoing healing.
The 58-year-old was slated to perform for the Professional Bull Riders' Last Cowboy Standing Event. The event takes place on July 21 at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins, Colorado. Cross Canadian Ragweed is now filling in for McGraw.
"Cross Canadian Ragweed will step in for Tim McGraw as he recovers from back surgery to open the Last Cowboy Standing Show on July 21 in Fort Collins — and we couldn't be more thrilled," a statement by PBR reads. "The band is back together and ready to bring the house down in an unforgettable night of world-class music and the greatest bull riding on earth. You won't want to miss it. We're sending our very best to Tim for a quick recovery and hope to see him at a future PBR event."
Currently, McGraw's next scheduled performance is on August 2 in Bristol, Tennessee.
