"It started with alcohol," Young tells People. "We cut that out at the beginning of last year. Mornings with babies were not feeling great. It wasn't serving me, my life or my career, so we cut that out."
Once Young realized how good he felt without drinking, it began a quest for him to see what else he could change to become the best version of himself.
"And then I just started thinking, 'Well, what else can we do to start hanging around longer for the kiddos?'" he explains. "There's a lot of information available to us. I went down that rabbit hole and I've just been chasing it ever since."
Now that Young is focusing on his health, there is no looking back.
"It's a new chapter in my life," Young reveals. "I've jumped really deep into health and wellness and trying to hang around longer for my family. It's kind of like Brett Young 2.0 at the same time."
Brett Young's New 2.0 Album
Young's new 2.0 album is out now. The very personal record includes songs about his wife, Taylor, and their family, including a song called "Full House." Young dedicates that song to Rowan, who gave him a surprising revealtion when she came home from the hospital.
"Me and my wife were sure that we wanted four kids, but then we had this really overwhelming emotional experience bringing Rowan home from the hospital," Young rshares. "Suddenly, we felt like our family was full with two children. Rowan's existence in our life was so powerful that it kind of changed our plan for us as a family and completed us."
Also on 2.0 is a song called "That Ain't Yours," about his decision to not have a prenup with Taylor.
"I said, 'I'm not starting a marriage with a 'If this doesn't work out,'" Young tells American Songwriter. "I'm so not doing that. A song idea was born: when you get married, you're not just sharing your heart; you're sharing everything. Nothing against people that go in with all the contingency plans, but I'm the type that has to go all in. That's one of my favorite, most romantic expressions of love."

I Loved Elvis version way better than Franks version.
I also love the way Sinatra sang " My Way" verses Elvis. I can't imagine Sinatra doing a cover of " My Blue Suede Shoes", could you
Paul Anka is right: Frank Sinatra had the mileage, so to speak, to pull off singing "My Way"
Elvis did not.
I love Elvis, but he sounded as ridiculous singing it as Kelly Clarkson's kid singing "My Way".
