Tomorrow, The Castellows are releasing their EP Homecoming. It's their second one since their explosive introduction in 2023. Their upbringing with horses, however, may contribute to their confidence and ability to handle the challenges that come with life and the music industry.

Ahead of their EP release, I had the great honor of talking to the trio of sisters. We spoke about their renewed partnership with Farnam and their upcoming Everything For The Ride sweepstakes. Aside from that, we also spoke about something they're synonymous with.
Horses.
If it isn't apparent with their Farnam partnership, their lyrics, or their style, then I'll spell it out. The Castellows are big on horses.
So I couldn't not bring up their relationship with horses when we spoke, and they shared that growing up around horses has moulded them into who they are today.
"Growing up as a young girl around horses, and being given that responsibility to take care of something bigger than you, and stronger than you, and learning how to control situations that may be bigger and stronger than you, as a young girl, it teaches you a lot more than you think," they said.
"Looking back, there are a lot of situations that are bigger than us, and scarier than us, and any girls who grows up with horses, just knows how to handle the bigger, tougher situations," they laughed.
The Castellows Have Lived With Horses Their Whole Lives
The sisters have been brought up around horses on their parents' ranch in south Georgia. As they're country music stars now, they're away from home a lot more.
"Sometimes it's a little too long" between visits, they lamented. But they're happy knowing their parents are taking great care of them.
"You know, it's kind of hard," being away from their horses, "but it makes it really sweet and special when we do go home."
"Every little girl wants horses, and we were fortunate enough to be able to do that, and we don't take that lightly."
Horses hold a special place in their hearts especially as horses set The Castellows up for being confident on stage. Not only have horses taught the trio how to handle tough situations, but they've also built up their confidence.
You have to be confident and calm around horses. There is no room for being nervous or skittish, even when you are feeling mighty anxious around the gentle giants.
"I struggled with stage fright for a while," admitted one of the sisters. But thanks to growing up around horses, she's learned to control her nerves. Each of the sisters can credit their confidence to their horses, which has helped them quell any nerves they have before going on stage.
Speaking of the stage, The Castellows will be going on their second headlining tour from September to November. Make sure to see them while you can.
Ultimately, The Castellows owe a lot to their horses. "They taught us so much," they gratefully reflected. "Some of my sweetest memories are with my sisters and with my horses."
