Gabby Barrett is a singer and songwriter. But her favorite job is being a mother to her three children, whom she shares with her husband, Cade Foehner. Fortunately, Barrett has found a way to be present with her two daughters and one son, even while on the road.

"I enjoy both," Barrett tells Country Now. "Them honestly being there is really helpful. I can't imagine doing it without them being there. That would be a lot harder and a lot more pull on the mom heart, because being a mom is very important to me."
Foehner is not only Barrett's husband and co-parent, but he is also in her band. With both parents on stage, the couple relies on a nanny to help get everything done, although Barrett still spends as much hands-on time with her children as possible.
"Sometimes they'll be going to bed, and the nanny will help put them to bed," the American Idol alum reveals. "Or I'll be like, 'What time am I done?' And then I'm like, 'Okay, this one's still going to be up.' And then I see them in their pajamas waiting on the bus, and it's the cutest thing. And then we go put them to bed, take off my hair, take off my makeup, all the things. But it's fun. It's enjoyable, especially because they're there."
Gabby Barrett's New Music and Tour
Barrett will embark on her Life I'm Living Tour on June 5. The tour is ahead of a new album, the follow-up to Chapter & Verse, released last year.
"We are always performing together, so the kids know we've got to get on the bus this weekend," Barrett says. "Mom and Dad got to go sing and go perform, and they love it. They're excited about it and we're excited too."
"The tour is really about obviously the music and the journey the past couple of years," she continues. "But also flipping that page too, a new chapter of music too."
Barrett hasn't shared too many details about her next record. But she does reveal the project will be very personal to her.
"I've been writing and just kind of fleshing out what I want this next chapter of music to be," says the singer. "My last country album that I released was very autobiographical and just talks about the amount of life that I've lived quickly within the past couple of years of being married and having three kids and all the things."
