Dropout Kings, formed in Phoenix, shared a heartfelt tribute to Ramey on Instagram, alongside photos capturing their years together. Bandmates Eddie "Black Cat Bill" Wellz, Rob Sebastian, and Jeremy Garcia expressed their grief, writing, "Life comes at you in ways you can never predict. The rollercoaster of chasing your dreams and building with your brothers and friends is a joy few get to know." They described Ramey's passion and energy as the heart of the band, shaping its identity and touching countless lives.
"His spirit, charisma, and energy will forever inspire us," the band wrote, vowing to carry his legacy forward. They concluded with a personal message: "Rest in power, Adam. We'll always love you more than any words can say, fam."
Ramey's sister-in-law echoed this sentiment on GoFundMe, calling him a brother who "brought life and energy to every room, every family gathering, and every stage." She shared how Ramey saved her life during a dark time, highlighting his unwavering support for those he loved.

Ramey's musical journey began with a spark for songwriting and performing. In a 2018 Heavy Music HQ interview, he recounted how Dropout Kings formed after his previous band, The Bad Chapter, disbanded. A Linkin Park cover he recorded with Wellz on YouTube gained traction, inspiring him to form the band. "It got a great reaction, so I turned it into a band, and the rest is history," he said.
Ramey's love for music started early. As a child, he memorized song lyrics and later learned drums and vocals in high school. His perseverance led to Dropout Kings' three albums -- Audiodope (2018), GlitchGang (2021), and Riot Music (2023) -- and their latest single, "Poison Run," released with Hopsydian in January.
Despite their loss, Dropout Kings is scheduled to perform across North America and Europe from May through August, according to their website. The band's commitment to honoring Ramey's legacy will likely resonate in their upcoming shows.
