When she got on stage, he had her sit down next to him on stage. "My mama usually requests Tupac in this situation," he said. It's unclear if there's any context missing here, but it appears that his mom knows music. What a request.
Instead of Tupac, Riley Green performed Merle Haggard's "Mama Tried." As much as I would love to see Riley Green throw down some Tupac, it was sweet to see him perform that song next to his mom. The audience joined in, at the request of Green.
Although you couldn't really hear her, you can see Karen singing along to the song. It's such a sweet sight.
After the song, Green brought on stage a few bouquets of flowers. They embraced a few times as the audience cheered for her. That'll be a Mother's Day to remember.
