Fans of Alice in Chains are going to have to wait another year for their next tour as a medical emergency with their drummer grounds the 90s rock group.

The tour was the first the group had done since 2023, and fans were eager to see them live once again. However, even before their first performance, Alice in Chains was forced to call it all off. According to their social media post, their drummer had suffered a medical emergency.
During sound check at Mohegan Sun Arena, something happened to Sean Kennedy that has put him out of action. The band has not expanded on the reasons, but it clearly wasn't something small. The tour was supposed to play multiple locations, and thousands would have flocked to see the group.
Now, the only date remaining on their calendar is Ozzy Osbourne's farewell show. I don't think any of them would miss that for the world. It's going to be the classic rock show of the century. If Ozzy Osbourne can make it, Alice in Chains damn well can, canceled tour or not.
Heartfelt Apology From Alice In Chains To Disappointed Fans
The news came as a surprise to many fans who had already planned their weekends and holidays around catching one of the canceled Alice In Chains tour dates. But, there was nothing they could do, and they have apologized on social media.
"After careful consideration and following the advice of medical professionals, we've made the decision to cancel our upcoming festival performances and the Alice in Chains headline shows," the band told fans.
Understandably, they need to look after their drummer, who is getting onto 60. "While we were all eager to return to the stage, Sean's health is our top priority at this moment."
They were good enough to reassure everyone that although the injury was bad, the drummer was going to be okay. "Although the issue requires immediate attention, his long-term prognosis is positive. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support at this time."
It sucks for anyone looking forward to seeing classic '90s rock band Alice In Chains on their tour. But accidents happen, and I don't think anyone would want a substitute for their famed drummer.
