Kelly Clarkson has just dropped a new track titled 'Where Have You Been'. The accompanying music video has her strutting her stuff in a rather sexy bit of kit, showing off a bit of skin, which is a new thing for her. She looks wonderful in the sequined outfit, and it complements the song beautifully.
But, in the past, people have made comments to Kelly Clarkson about her appearance, grinding her down. Anyone working in the spotlight doesn't need that negativity. Talking on Today With Jenna & Friends, Clarkson revealed the criticism of her past.
"In all honesty, I've had a lot of people in my career tell me — I mean, be very cruel," she began. "And say, 'Oh, you look slutty if you wear this, you look...'da da da' if you wear this. Oh, I've had people be very cruel. And so, it's just like, I've never been able to be what I want for that moment, for that song, what that character calls for. Because they're all different characters, right?"
Kelly Clarkson ended up changing her own perceptions of herself and losing confidence in who she wanted to be because of the cruel comments on her looks.
Kelly Clarkson Learns To Rise Above The Comments On Her Looks
But she's moved past the snide and most likely jealous comments. Now, she is living for herself, and feeling sexier than ever. Continuing to speak about her journey, Kelly Clarkson said, "This was a very sexy moment. It's a song about that intimate moment where you finally go, 'Wow. I just found the unicorn situation, and I did not know that was on the bingo card for my life."
However, Kelly Clarkson did admit that getting a bit fitter helped her brush off a lot of the comments about her weight. "Look, I lost some weight, and I was like, 'You put me in something fitting. 'Cause I don't know how long this will last," she joked.
She looks good and feels good.
