Jahdae Barron is the kid's name, and man, does he love his country music. He may just be the biggest George Strait fan in the NFL. (Not that I've polled the league.) But I'd definitely be willing to place a lot of money on it.
Honestly, though, how could he not be? He was an elite defensive back on the Texas Longhorns for five seasons. I'm not sure how you don't love a little country after being down there for so long.

What I did not see coming was his rendition of "Write This Down" by the country star:
I know, right? For an elite-level collegiate defensive back, I was surprised, too. The kid can kinda sing.
His rendition of the famous song came during his acceptance of the Jim Thorpe Award. For those of you who don't take your entire Saturdays and Sundays to watch football during the fall, that award goes to the best defensive back in college. So yeah, you could say he's pretty good at football.
The second most surprising thing that he did recently was fall in the recent NFL Draft. He was projected to be a top ten pick, but somehow fell into the Broncos' lap with pick 20. Looks like not only did Denver get a game-changer on the field, but a melodious voice off the field.
It appears that music isn't the only thing country about this kid. (Which honestly makes the pick from Denver make even more sense.) He clearly loves himself some country wear almost as much as he loves country music. Just look at his first official pictures with the Broncos:
