Thomas Rhett could be a lot more famous than he already is. The father of four reveals he has and his wife, Lauren Akins, have had multiple opportunities to appear on reality TV shows, but he keeps turning them down, and likely always will.

"Honestly, we've been asked a bunch of times to do a reality show," Rhett tells his record label. "But I just don't think that's something me and Lauren -- I mean, we give enough of ourselves, I think, on social media. And we pretty much open our home and our marriage to our fans in a way where it's like, you see the good, bad, the ugly."
Rhett admits he does have dreams of acting, but only as a second job.
"I think a reality show might be too much," Rhett says. "I don't think I want to be like an actor-actor, but I think it would be pretty fun to be in a few scenes in a big movie or something like that."
Thomas Rhett's Marriage To Lauren Akins
Rhett is understandably doing all he can to protect his marriage to Akins, whom he wed in 2012. The couple went through a tough spot earlier in their marriage, when his career was taking off as they were adjusting to becoming parents, first to their daughter Willa Gray, whom they adopted in 2017, followed by their second daughter, Ada James, born that same year.
Fortunately, the two were determined to work through their challenges, even if Rhett admits it wasn't easy.
"Giving up was not an option," Rhett tells Us Weekly. "That thought has never crossed my mind or Lauren's. With me being a fixer and Lauren being stubborn, we made it work. The easiest thing to do is quit. But when you don't and you keep grinding it out, you'll inevitably become stronger."
With divorce off the table, Rhett and Akins emerged stronger by learning to work through their problems.
"Hardships are going to enter your lives at some point in time," he says. "It's just about how you weather the storms," says Rhett.
"Even when it doesn't feel easy, at the end of the day, we choose each other," Akins adds.
