Joe Walsh Held Forth About Bands He Really Likes

Walsh explained, "There's so much stuff out on the internet that you could spend all day listening to it and still only hear 0.5% of what's out there. Every once in a while you get lucky and someone blows you away. The Black Keys I think are brilliant. Wow! They're right on it! And Kings of Leon make great records, really great records. And there's a band called Gorillaz and I happened across them and I think they're great."

He Landed A Stint Collaborating With The Black Keys And Their Vocalist/Guitarist Dan Auerbach

Six years ago, Walsh appeared with the band in L.A. on stage. Four years after that, Walsh and Auerback teamed up in the studio for the latter's album, Tell Everybody!: 21 Century Juke Joint Blues from Easy Eye Sound. That was not the end of the pair's work together, however.

The two joined Auerbach's "second band," The Arcs, to record "Daughter Of Zion." Walsh's contribution to the memorable bluesy track was a testament not only to his legendary status, but to his masterful talent as well.
